Christina is a horticulture educator who co-authored the book Pacific Northwest Month-by-Month Gardening: What to Do Each Month to Have a Beautiful Garden All Year. She will have signed copies of her book at the event available for purchase.


Pacific Northwest Month-by-Month Gardening is the definitive guide to successful gardening year-round in our neck of the woods. This book takes the guesswork out of gardening for anyone living in the region. This garden guide is full of critical gardening when-to's and how-to's, along with illustrated step-by-step instructions that will keep your garden thriving all year round.


Christina is a Seattle-based author and horticulture educator who has enjoyed a long career in landscape horticulture. Her work centers on sustainable techniques and timing that tap into the cycle of the seasons so that our efforts become more of an enjoyable experience and less of a battle. Christina is a regular speaker for local groups and public programs including the UW Botanic Gardens, Master Gardeners, PlantAmnesty, Cascade Water Alliance, and the NW Flower & Garden Festival. Earlier in her career, she led landscape management efforts at the Washington Park Arboretum and the Holden Arboretum, and worked as a consultant. She has been a pruning instructor at Edmonds College for over 18 years. She holds degrees in horticulture from Michigan State and the University of Washington, and is an ISA Certified Arborist®.
